EQUIPMENT CE CERTIFICATION

At the heart of the successful export business, it is important for the manufacturer to meet the regulatory requirements of the countries in which they want to sell their products. Evidence to support the compliance of the product with the requirements of the Directive / u and the applicable standards is required in order to allow the market surveillance authorities of the European Union and your customers to make sure that your products meet the safety and health requirements of humans and the environment.

Before placing a product on the EU market (whether it is produced in the EU or outside its borders), EU legislation requires machinery to be covered by the EC declaration of conformity and marked with the CE marking. This confirms the compliance of the products with the safety and security requirements specified in the European Union regulatory enactments.

WITH WHAT TO START?

Machine tools are the most widely-defined CE marking product group. The most commonly used safety requirements for machinery (MK Regulations No.195 or Machinery Directive 2006/42 / EC) are essential requirements. They are followed by the application of other regulatory requirements according to the type of machinery and the identified essential requirements.
When affixing a CE marking, the manufacturer declares that the machinery meets all the essential safety and health requirements applicable to it in accordance with machine safety regulations and other binding EU regulations.
If individually, the machinery bearing the CE marking is integrated into the production complex or production line, the conformity assessment procedure must be carried out on the whole machine assembly or line.

FIRST STEP BY MACHINERY - RISK AVOIDANCE!

In order for the manufacturer to be sure that the machinery is in conformity with the requirements of the regulatory enactments, it must identify the essential requirements mentioned therein and assess the risks of the machinery. Precisely the prevention of machinery equipment risks is the beginning to ensure that the product complies not only with formal regulatory requirements but also with the interests of the client. The risk assessment should include the whole life cycle of the machinery (production, installation, installation, use, disposal), where each identified hazard will be assessed and measures taken to reduce the hazard to an acceptable level.
As part of the risk assessment, identifying the applicable standards is a good practice for meeting qualitative requirements.

TECHNICAL DOCUMENTATION - TECHNICAL FAIL

EU legislation on machine safety stipulates that the manufacturer must provide a technical dossier. It serves as evidence that the essential safety and health requirements are met and the EC Declaration of Conformity and the CE marking, which is the result of the evaluation of the machinery, is justified. If there is no technical documentation or it is incomplete, the EC declaration of conformity may be deemed to have been prepared and the marking is unjustified.

TECHNICAL REPORTS AND RESULTS OF TECHNICAL MEASUREMENTS OF LABORATORIES

The manufacturer must provide the verification measures specified in the harmonized standards (sample tests, etc.) to ensure that the machinery meets the essential safety requirements of the regulatory enactments.
