The STC Laboratory is the most experienced laboratory for agricultural and forestry vehicle
testing in the Baltic States.

STC Laboratory is accredited by Latvian National Accreditation Bureau (LATAK) and
designated as Technical service whose authorized to carry out vehicle tests accordance with Regulation No 167/2013 on the approval and market surveillance of agricultural and forestry
vehicles (T, C, R, and S) and its regulations:


  • vehicle functional safety requirements - Commission Regulation (EU) 2015/208;

  • design and Safety Requirements - Commission Regulation (EU) 1322/2014;

  • environmental and propulsion unit performance requirements of agricultural and forestry vehicles - Commission Regulation (EU) 2015/96;

  • vehicle braking requirements for the approval of agricultural and forestry vehicles -

  • Commission Regulation (EU) 2015/68.

Tests of motor vehicles of category M and N according to UNECE Regulations for motor vehicle type-approval in vehicle conversion:

  • Vehicle stability (UN / ECE Regulation No.107 - Uniform provisions concerning the approval of vehicles of categories M2 and M3 with regard to their general construction);

  • The strength of vehicle seat anchorages (UN / ECE Regulation No. 80 on the approval of seats for high-intensity passenger cars and the approval of these vehicles for the strength of seats and their anchorages).

Tests for agricultural and forestry machinery such as forestry and agricultural harvesters and forwarders accordance machinery safety directive 2006/42/EC:

  • Fall over protection structures (FOPS), Rollover protection structures (ROPS), Operator protective structures (OPS);

  • Other tests accordance with machinery safety harmonized standards.
