For manufacturers to certify the conformity of machinery and equipment with EU regulations, the CE marking must also comply with the regulatory requirements for noise emission. They are set on April 23, 2002. Cabinet Regulation No. 163 "Provisions on noise emissions from off-premises installations", they comply with Directive 2000/14 / EC on the approximation of the laws of the Member States relating to the noise emission in the environment from equipment for use outdoors. The regulations list the types of machinery or equipment the guaranteed sound power levels of which do not exceed certain maximum noise emission limits.

The STC Conformity Assessment Unit is an accredited certification authority that is competent to assess the compliance of noise emissions from equipment with Cabinet Regulation No. 163 and Directive 2000/14 / EC. Successful testing of a sample of the device allows the manufacturer to label the machine with a guaranteed sound power level pictogram.

The standard for noise emissions in the environment from equipment refers to the following equipment:

  • Cargo lifts

  • Construction site band saws and circular saws

  • Vibratory rollers and rollers

  • Concrete mixers

  • Compressors

  • Hand-held concrete crushers

  • Hydraulic hammers

  • Transporter for transportation of materials

  • Construction winches

  • Drilling equipment

  • Piling equipment

  • Pipelines

  • Bulldozers

  • Dumpers

  • Excavators

  • Graders

  • Hydraulic power units

  • Lawn mowers

  • Motorized Capers

  • Forklifts

  • Mobile cranes

  • Asphalt pavers

  • Electric power generators

  • Tower cranes

  • Welding generators, etc.

The STC Laboratory is an accredited testing laboratory that is competent to perform measurements of the sound power level emitted by machinery and equipment for verification and CE marking purposes.
